Hey there!
To make this "easier" for you to solve
You can solve the "mixed fraction" (1 3/4)
So, 1 3/4 = 7/4 (or you can say 3/4)
Our problem becomes: 3 - 3/4
Now, 3 - 3/4 = 9/4
Answer: 9/4
Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day
