Diagonally, it's length is = √(l²+b²) = √(2²+1.5²) = √4+2.25 = √6.25 = 2.5
Now, along the side, it would be: 2 + 1.5 = 3.5

Difference = 3.5 - 2.5 = 1 mile

In short, Your Answer would be 1 mile
