Conditional probabilities relate events where one event depends on the other.
The formula for these types of events is:
[tex]P(BgivenA)=\frac{P(AandB)}{P(A)}[/tex]
or, written another way:
[tex]P(B|A)=P(A&B)/P(A)[/tex]
Using the known values:
[tex]\frac{6}{11}=P(A&B)/\frac{5}{12}[/tex]
[tex]P(A&B)=\frac{6}{11}\times\frac{5}{12}[/tex]
[tex]P(A&B)=\frac{30}{132}[/tex]
