My dog is unlike any dog you've ever met before.
He doesn't simply wag his tail or greet me at the door.

He scolds my younger brother when he's up to his old tricks.
He jumps out from behind the wall just to get his kicks.

He sits upon the toilet, a newspaper in his paw
As if he is a businessman—strangest thing you ever saw!

But to say my dog is my best friend just isn't strong enough.
For when I tell him, "I love you," he answers with a "Ruff!"
